What is Amazon Deal of the Day
Amazon Deal of the Day refers to “a single item or small set of closely related items discounted for one day only.”
When a deal of the day is available, you’ll see the following:
- The item is listed before any other deals and clearly labelled “Deal of the Day.”
- The discount amount on the product
- In Time left before the deal ends
- A “See Details” button so you can check out the particulars of the product.
Clicking on the item itself will display other related products that are also on related to the deal of the day. So it’s not only that one product that’s labelled “deal of the day” that’s available. You may see three or four more related products.
Where to find the Amazon Deal of the Day
Amazon Deals of the Day are easy to find. When you log in to your Amazon account, there are tabs right below the Amazon search bar. Click on the tab labelled “Today’s Deals” which is located to the left, and you will see all of the deals and promotions being offered. The first two items are usually labelled Deal of the Day.
What is Amazon Lightning deals
Amazon lightning deals are product promotions that are offered in a limited quantity for a short period of time.
Lightning deals have a time limit so they go pretty quickly. In this type of deal, the promotion is offered in a limited quantity for a short period of time and can last for 24 hours. They are time sensitive, and available one per customer until the promotion period for the deal ends or the available inventory has been sold.
When a lightning deal is available, you’ll see the following:
- The item featured for the deal.
- The promotional discount amount and the final price (which does not include any tax).
- A status bar showing you what percentage of the deals that have already been claimed by customers.
- A timer that indicates how long you have to add the featured item to your Cart in order to claim the promotional discount.
- The “Add to Cart” button once promotional discounts are available.
- Depending on the product, you may also see a “Choose Option” button. This just means that there are varying colors of the product available. So all you do is select your preferred color of the product, then simply click on the “Add to Cart” button.
Lightning deals can be found throughout Amazon and as stated they are time sensitive so you definitely want to complete your order as soon as possible.
You can also sign up to watch a lightning deal 24 hours before it begins. So if you see a product that you are interested in, and it’s not yet available to you, then you can sign up to watch it. That way you’ll know when it’s available. You can also view missed, active, and upcoming sales.

Amazon Savings & Sales
The Amazon Savings & Sales type of deal, provides a list of items that are on sale so you can enjoy saving money when you shop for these items. In some cases, the discounts are as high as 51%. The range of items featured in this category are way too many to mention here. But can definitely save big time with these deals as well. Let’s face it, 51% discount is nothing to sneeze at.
Prime Early Access Deals
Prime Early Access Deals allow Amazon Prime members 30-minutes early access to Lightning Deals on Amazon. For any of the Prime Early Access Lightning Deals, you’ll see a “Prime Early Access” label when the deals are advertised. You’ll also see it in the “Add to Cart” box on the product detail page as well.
Depending on the deal, the item can be sold out even before the early access period ends. Since deals are only available while supplies last, there is no guarantee that Prime Members would even get the opportunity to purchase the product either. In some cases, deals go really quickly.
Now on to the discounts!
Deals, Promotions & Discounts
Discounts for Amazon deals range from 10% all the way up to 70% and more. Clicking the discount tabs, located on the left, shows you the various items available in that discounted category. Of course these items would be first available for Prime Early Access. But you’ll see a timer indicating when it will be available to Non-Prime members.
Keep in mind that these discounts are on items throughout each Amazon department. So it’s possible that you can find that special item you’ve been wanting for a while, but waiting for Prime Day or Cyber Monday to get it.
That’s all from us on this topic and go grab those Amazon deals even if it’s not yet Prime Day or Cyber Monday!
